How the swap works
-
Enter the BTC amount and paste your Ethereum mainnet receive address — privacy-first on PrivSwap.
-
Open the order to see the live quote and the BTC deposit address — privacy-first on PrivSwap.
-
Send BTC to that deposit. After confirmations, ETH is paid to your wallet on PrivSwap.
Check these before you send
- A single Bitcoin confirmation is usually enough for us to start the ETH payout — privacy-first on PrivSwap.
- BTC inclusion speed tracks mempool load and the fee you attach — a congested mempool means a longer wait — privacy-first on PrivSwap.
- SegWit BTC deposit addresses keep fees lower and inclusion faster. If your wallet only sends legacy formats, message PrivSwap support before you send.
- ETH not in the wallet yet? Wait a few minutes and refresh. If the order already lists a payout tx, message support with your Exchange ID.
Bitcoin — privacy-wallet liquidity hub
Bitcoin remains the deepest funding asset for anonymous NO-KYC routes on PrivSwap — liquid, widely held, and a common first leg into XMR, ETH, and stables.
Before you send BTC
- Confirm the wallet can pay SegWit (bc1…) deposits.
- Budget a network fee — cheap fees mean slower confirmation.
- Send only BTC on Bitcoin mainnet to the deposit shown on your PrivSwap order.
BTC deposit timing
Block times vary with load and the fee you choose.
- Use mempool.space (or similar) to see if your fee is competitive.
- Explorers show queue depth — compare against pending volume.
- Average BTC blocks are ~10 minutes; longer gaps happen.
Why BTC funds privacy-first swaps
BTC’s liquidity makes it a common funding leg for anonymous PrivSwap routes.
Moving into ETH, stables, or alt L1s opens DeFi and payments without funding a custodial exchange balance.
Ethereum — L1 settlement for privacy routes
ETH powers Ethereum mainnet gas and settlement. On PrivSwap it is a privacy-first send/receive rail — always match mainnet vs L2 on the order badge.
ETH not visible yet?
Check the PrivSwap order for a payout hash first.
Confirm the wallet network matches the order and is synced.
How fast ETH payouts land
After deposit confirm, most ETH payouts land within minutes (~12s blocks).
Payout rail must match the order
- Payouts follow the order badge — not a different EVM chain unless that badge says so.
- Double-check the address you paste: one wrong character sends funds to an unreachable wallet — privacy-first on PrivSwap.
- Self-custody wallets (MetaMask, Rabby, hardware devices) are recommended for long-term holding — privacy-first on PrivSwap.
Fixed vs float for ETH receives
Fixed vs float in the widget changes how the final ETH amount is set.
- Float tracks the market until deposit confirm — useful when mempools are calm.
- Fixed locks the quote briefly — useful when ETH is moving fast.

Privacy swap FAQ
Does BTC to ETH require KYC or an account?
No. PrivSwap does not ask for a profile, ID documents, or a hosted balance for Bitcoin to Ethereum.
How long until ETH arrives?
Many orders finish in a few minutes. Bitcoin mainnet deposit confirmations and Ethereum mainnet payout time set the wait.
Do you hold BTC or ETH for me?
No. You send BTC from a wallet you control and ETH is paid to the address you provide — PrivSwap does not keep a user wallet.
What if I send BTC on the wrong chain?
Use Bitcoin mainnet exactly as shown on the order. A wrong-network send may not be credited — read the swap safety notes first.
